Man busted for smuggling nine live finches

Marlon Hariram of Guyana was arrested this week at New York's Kennedy Airport after a routine customs screening uncovered nine live finches tucked into a shirt sleeve. Apparently, the birds (which Guyanese law prohibits the export of) are used in popular bird-singing contests in Queens, New York.
