Despite the uproar, it appears that Sanral’s controversial e-tolling system will be implemented. Government Gazette 35756 was published on Friday, and publicised the toll rates for vehicles traversing the province using the 49 gantries in the system.
There is no hint as to when the tolling of Gauteng’s road-users will begin, but you can start preparing your pockets for the inevitable strain.
