He was arrested on Sunday for allegedly helping a wanted man evade arrest, Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi said in a statement.
The 31-year-old constable was arrested in Tembisa, Gauteng.
The officer allegedly helped a man involved in a cash-in-transit robbery escape from the police and make his way to Gauteng. During the robbery in May, four men stole three cash boxes from Coin Security guards.
