R124 trillion - The U.S. Government's national debt

The national debt of the U.S. government has crossed the $15 trillion mark. In August the US Congress authorised government to raise the debt ceiling from $14.3 trillion to $15,194 trillion, which affects how the government is able to repay its debts. Currently the U.S. government spends $1.40 for every dollar it receives.
